Our kids are the first generation of our family born in Canada. We are so proud to have such a beautiful place for them to grow up in. We want them to really appreciate where we live.

Our favourite place to be as a family is outdoors – we love being so close to Nosehill Park. We take everyone from our family there when they visit for the first time.

I love spending time with Jennie, she is the happiest person I know! Sometimes I’m afraid other people won’t see how amazing she is because of her Down Syndrome. I try to make sure she gets a chance to show people her personality whenever we meet someone new.

This city is so full of so many different people, we love being able to meet people with so many different cultures and traditions. It wasn’t like this where we are from.

After coming here from Syria we are so excited to be part of such a welcoming city. We are glad our children will go to school here, and grow up here.

Calgary was a fresh start for us. After a few years of full time travelling, we finally chose to live here and it really feels like home. It has just the right mix of everything, people, good food, and there is always something going on. We feel like we have really landed!

Our first priority is giving Liam a safe and happy upbringing. We are so glad we have found a real community in Calgary to do that.

Ryan grew up here, but I am originally from Toronto. I love the smaller communities and how we feel like we are really a part of the city. We want Liam to have that connection to where he grows up.

I’m originally from Saskatoon, and I met Allison when I came here for post-secondary. She’s a born and raised Calgarian. We both went to U of C, and hope that one day our kids might as well. And being so close to the mountains is a must for us.

We feel so blessed to have been able to raise our family here, we truly believe this is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Me and my wife, Wendy, moved here not long after we got married. We bought our first home here and I started my business.

I’ve lived in Calgary for over 50 years. I raised my family here and am watching my grandchildren grow up here too. I honestly can’t imagine living anywhere else.
